The MIMS Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) helps support our school through volunteering and also by providing additional funds to continue programs, sponsor events, and purchase items by supplementing funding from TEA and HISD. As part of the MIMS community, everyone – including parents/guardians, teachers, and administrators – is automatically a member of the MIMS PTO, and we welcome you to be part of the effort to provide MIMS students with a strong foundation for learning and success.

We are raising funds for campus improvements and PTO initiatives. Let’s make this year’s Boosterthon our best one yet!

We are partnering with Boosterthon to raise funds for campus improvements and PTO funds, including refinishing the gym floor, which is used daily for PE classes, clubs, athletic groups, Chinese New Year events, assemblies, and celebrations.

 

Daily winners are chosen by Boosterthon based on the total amount raised before the cutoff time each evening. Boosterthon provides a list of the top donors in each grade. Below is the list of prizes and the fundraising amounts needed to earn each one. Every student who registers for free will receive a free dress pass and keychain. The floor that raises the most funds will earn a pizza party (1st floor PK-2nd, 2nd floor 3rd-5th, 3rd floor 6th-8th), and if we reach our overall Boosterthon goal of $50,000, the entire school will be rewarded with a special Kona Ice visit!

 

With your support through Boosterthon, we can make meaningful improvements that benefit our entire school community!

MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL 2025

 

 Thank you for celebrating the MIMS Mid-Autumn Festival with us! Your energy, creativity, and enthusiasm helped make the evening a memorable one filled with laughter, boba, and delicious mooncakes. A special thank you to our Festival Chair, Tierra, our amazing school community, student volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and everyone who brought the event to life - from planning activities and coordinating performances to setting up beautiful decorations! Your effort truly made the celebration shine! Events like this remind us of the strength and spirit of our community - one that values togetherness, diversity, and shared joy. MIMS SOCIABLES

 

Purchase your Sociables HERE!

 

MIMS PTO hosts fundraisers called “Sociables,” where families and teachers organize fun events—like bowling, crafts, mahjong, pool parties, and more. The host family/group covers the event costs, and attendees pay a participation fee. All proceeds go directly to the PTO to support our school and meet the needs of our students. Hosting or attending a Sociable is also a wonderful way to connect with and get to know other families in our community. If you’d like to host a sociable, please fill out the Google form and our PTO community fundraising chair, Rishika, will reach out to you soon!
