MIMS CNY Rescheduled to Feb. 27

With the weeklong school closure, and all the power and water outages our families have been dealing with, the PTO has rescheduled the MIMS CNY celebration to Feb. 27.

As Kelly said on LT, we want to honor the work that our teachers and students have put in and all of the goodies that we have gathered to celebrate in this very unconventional school year for MIMS students and families. For those that have purchased the CNY cookies for teachers we will be delivering those on Monday, February 22 when teachers are back in school.

That means there’s still time to buy a tshirt or a raffle ticket, make plans to join the “drive-in” style celebration or view the Lion dance, or raise your hand to volunteer.

Volunteer for CNY

We’d love to have your help in preparing for a distanced-but-fun Chinese New Year celebration. With our scaled back events this year, there aren’t TOO many requests, but we’d really love your participation! If you have other ideas, questions, donations, or raffle items, please contact CNY Chair Nick Palmer at
