Proposed PTO Bylaw Change

In the spring, no PTO member announced a candidacy in time to be elected to the board for Community Fundraising. That means that the PTO board is one member short and our current bylaws do not have a way to fill the position.

The board has proposed a change that adds this situation to the definition of a board “vacancy.” The general membership of the PTO will be asked to vote on the change at the October general meeting.

Here’s the  updated language and the current bylaws for you to review before the vote! The updated language is also posted in the MIMS front office.
